What is freedom? Everybody is for it and nobody is against it- and yet most of us are not free.
How is this? One reason is that people think that it is possible to talk about freedom in generalities. We hear a great deal about abstract principles such as the freedom of the press or freedom of religion. All of these things are important but none of them can make the individual free.
Why? Because these ideas are too general. They are grand concepts and do not even address the individual.
Freedom is always specific.
Let me explain.
What is your dream? Take a moment to ask your self this. Then ask yourself why you have not done it.
This excercise tells you two things. First- that you are not really free, and second, what is stopping you.
Usualy it is money.
Very often it is personal obligations of one sort or another. Work through the list and remove one entanglement after the other. Once you have done this you have become free.
Very often the entanglements are mental rather than physical. You may not believe in yourself. You may have someone invalidating you all the time.
Work through and eliminate these as well.
Never let anyone sell you a phony abstact freedom when you can have a real practical one!
Become free. Help others to be free. Roll up your sleeves and prepare to sweat a little!!
