Dispose of your junk.

£30,000 is the minimum level of cover offered on most home contents insurance policies. It is reasonable to assume that most people have about £30,000 of personal belongings. This is quite surprising for most people because we live from pay check to pay check and probably regard £30,000 in the bank as an impossible task.

Imagine how you would feel if you held this money in cash rather than junk!

No stress! No worry!! No dusting!!!

If you wish to become free you must begin to liquidate your junk. My own aim is to own nothing that I cannot carry on my back- but I am a single man and plan to travel.

I am using the following methods right now.

  1. Gifting my junk to junk lovers. Junk always looks useful when it is still in the shop. Nobody ever deliberately buys junk. The trouble is that it becomes impossible to give it away the moment you unwrap it- it is clearly junk! My solution is to wrap it up once again so that is becomes desirable. This makes the other person just as happy as buying something!
  2. Ebay.
  3. Simply use things up and do not replace them.
